Ommatidia LiDAR contributes to young employment in Europe

Ommatidia LiDAR contributes to the creation of young employment in Europe by transforming advanced photonics R&D into skilled, long-term jobs for early-career professionals. As we scale our coherent FMCW LiDAR technology from development to industrial deployment, we continuously build multidisciplinary teams across optics, embedded electronics, signal processing, software, test engineering and manufacturing support. These roles provide young hires with hands-on experience in deep-tech productization, structured mentoring, and exposure to real industrial requirements, helping them develop highly transferable capabilities.

This growth is reinforced by public support aligned with the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+). In the Community of Madrid, Ommatidia is supported under the “Programa para el fomento de la contratación en el ámbito de la Comunidad de Madrid. Programa FSE+. Estímulo a la contratación de jóvenes”, within the 2024 call, promoted by the Dirección General del Servicio Público de Empleo of the Consejería de Economía, Hacienda y Empleo. The aid is co-financed by the FSE+ at 40%, strengthening our capacity to hire and onboard young talent.

By combining private innovation investment with FSE+ co-financing, Ommatidia improves youth employability and helps retain high-value STEM talent in Europe.
