Ommatidia powers lunar navigation with its compact, high-resolution LiDAR technology, enabling autonomous landings through real-time 3D surface reconstruction. In collaboration with TNO and under the TKI innovation program, Ommatidia’s ANT system was integrated into a lunar lander demonstrator, where it delivered critical point cloud data for precise descent and hazard detection. This achievement not only supports the future of planetary exploration but also strengthens the company’s role as a leader in scalable, photonic LiDAR solutions for both space and industrial applications.
At EVACES 2025 in Porto, Ommatidia LiDAR showcased the Q2 Laser RADAR, a groundbreaking tool for real-time, non-contact structural health monitoring. During our session on innovative sensor technologies, we presented how Q2 captured sub-millimeter vibrations across 128 channels simultaneously—without scanning or targets. This marks a significant step forward in large-scale, high-resolution SHM for bridges and civil structures.
Ommatidia LiDAR participated in the FMCW LiDAR ESA Workshop to present its latest advances in photonic integrated LiDAR. From introducing the Q2 Laser RADAR for aerospace applications to highlighting collaborations with ESA, TNO, and the SPATIAL project, the event showcased our role in shaping the future of space-ready sensing technology.
At Ommatidia LiDAR, we were honored to host a high-level Korean delegation led by Mr. Seungchul Oh, Vice Minister of MOTIE, and Ms. Min Byung Ju, President of KIAT. Their visit marked a significant milestone in Spain-Korea bilateral collaboration, as part of a KIAT initiative supported by CDTI_innovacion.
Together with our partners IDNEO and DongWon Industries, we showcased our cutting-edge LiDAR technology and ongoing joint projects. This collaboration, which includes UPV, Hanyang University, ALC, and Viewnyx, reflects a strong commitment to driving industrial innovation across borders.
We look forward to deepening this partnership and advancing shared technological goals.
